If you've read Flame, you can probably guess why most of these were included. The story is very much about sacrifice and trying to do what's right even when it means losing something important. It's also very much about betrayal. With Arionna broken and the war creeping closer, everything changes for Team Apocalypse in Flame.
Here are some of my favorite songs on the playlist.
Chord Overstreet - Hold On, I Still Want You - This is such a poignant song. You'll understand it's inclusion when you finish Flame. That last scene... Phew!
Bad Wolves - Zombies - This is probably one of my favorite cover songs ever. They did an incredible job with it.
Flyleaf - All Around Me - In Flame, Ari finds herself contending with the possibility that may have been abandoned to fight this war alone. But it doesn't keep her from hoping that someone bigger than her is still listening.
Hinder - Better than Me - Dace absolutely believes Ari deserves better than him. He's always believed that she's too good for him and that she's only in the situation they're in because of him.
Framing Hanley - Hear Me Now - An angsty, important inclusion. No one except for the chosen few know what's happening around them, despite all the signs.
Seether ft. Amy Lee - Broken - In Flame, Ari and Dace reconnect and learn to compromise. But is it enough to save them?
